Seed

Series A
This round occurs when the company has generated revenue. Series A stock is issued to investors in this first round of financing. Series A stock can be converted into common stock at a later time.
Series B
This is the second round of financing that occurs after specific benchmarks in the business development plan have been reached. At this stage the company usually has a higher valuation.
